  6. This team needs Sanchez to be that superstar eight inning reliever this year
  7. Bautista is the heart of this team
  8. Let's give up a premier player for two mediocre ones because WAR is the same
  9. He really isn't. He is worth less.
  10. If cruz and his power bat is worth than I don't expect melly to get more than 2/28 offers
  11. Why hasn't BTS updated the first post yet. Isn't that the whole point of this thread. I am tempted to remove my thanks.

  15. This is a very good point. I wonder to what extent caffeine effects hand eye coordination as well as withdrawal
  16. BC casual fan looking at stats keep wondering what happend N BC that's his nick name brah. Always was
  17. Imagine if AA now signs Nelson Cruz
  18. That bullpen is below average, and I think that you tend to undervalue the value of a bullpen as a whole. Orioles did so well last year because of their pen, and we need one that will keep us in the game, and shut down the opposition. Neither Delabar or Drabek or Hendriks are MLB material, plus you want to take a risk of including a guy coming of TJS. That type of pen would only work if both Sanchez and Norris are turned into late inning relievers.
  19. I think Sanchez might just be the closer, because if they aren't willig to go out and spend money, then obviously AA will want internal options. So now that gives out what appears to be atleast 2 late inning relievers. I can also see the possibility of Casey Jansenn coming back. I dont think there is much of a market for Casey. Then he can close again, with Sanchez acting as setup man.
  20. I would resign Jansenn on a 1 year deal. I do not think he is going to get a deal anywhere else anyways, he was good before he took that vacation. He has likely recovered from that. If the plan is to keep Sanchez in the bullpen, he should be closing. No Questions asked.
  21. Definately, seems like these trades its like the whole deal is out. I missed the Donaldson trade and only discovered it late night. I was like so sad I couldn't participate in the guessing game
  22. Redsox can, they have a lineup just as good as us if not slightly better. They currently have a lineup that includes Pedroia, Ortiz, Hanley, Pablo, and Cespedes So if you look at currently our top 5 hitters Bautista, EE, Donaldson, Reyes and Martin and rival that with the top 5 of Redsox, Than I would say its a toss up. With us Reyes and Martin offensively are much more questionmarks in terms of how above average they will be while they have a lot more certainty.
  23. copy other people much
  24. For my money, there are worse options out there than having Ichiro in Left field. Doesn't strike out a lot, good team guy, past his prime, but still gets a few hits here and there. I like that kind of safe play at 9, especially if the offsetting funds can be geared towards 2B and the focus of the trade market should be towards acquiring relief pitching
  25. I assure you that if the bottom 4 is Smoak, Pillar, Valencia, and Travis. That is a pretty bad bottom 4. Valencia is the only MLB bat, and he is below average at that. All 4 should be projected to have an OBP of less than .300 This is the problem, the hockey mentality. These aren't scoring lines. Almost 40% of the plate appearances will come from the bottom of the lineup. I rather sign an Ichiro for example. A guy who knows is role, still gets on base at average. Doesn't strike out a lot.
