I know you are serious,but the statement in itself sounds funny. Not that long ago,they had no trouble calling accurate strikes,and players didn,t argue anywhere near the amount they do today. You add up all those calls over a game,and it enrages some players,and fans,plus that tracker thing on tv.

Thats why it worked better when there were NL,and AL umpires who stuck to their own leagues. They had some cool umpires who were actually liked,and added personality to the game.
