    Yankees are all over Gausman. If Jays don’t get him, he’s going to a division rival.

    Lance Lynn, Kevin Gausman, Trevor Williams, and Chad Kuhl are still possible trade targets. The Jays are still looking to add more run prevention before the deadline and possibly another bat. LA Angels should be heating up the stove as well.

    This was always their plan. Merryweather was stretched out during spring training to debut in a starters role before an oblique strain set him back. His stuff plays as a starter, just need to keep him healthy. We joked that Merryweather would have more impact than Pearson this season, looking good so far. At the very least he’s an impact high leverage reliever in the playoffs. His mound presence has also been impressive.
