  1. I never understood AA's fascination with 3 catchers, giving Dickey his personal catcher. It takes up a valuable roster spot that can be used for a defensive replacement or another pinch runner in a tight game. Trade Navarro to Texas for Profar, and unload Dickey and Thole; maybe to CHW, with 3 LHP's, they could use a RHP and a decent catcher.
  2. At least trading Buehrle frees up some payroll to pick up another piece, either via trade or FA. Maybe Philly picks him up to add to their aging core of veterans? Kidding. Seriously though, we might be able to send him to Kansas City (retaining some salary) to replace James Shields? A playoff tested veteran-particularly one who has won it all-would certainly help that team, even if it's just for one year. Same goes for the Braves, as their rotation looks good, but doesn't have a lot of postseason experience to speak of.
  3. Navarro - I keep. Morrow - I decline the option, and try to resign him as a reliever. He can't start anymore. Melky - I feel like he can be worth the 12-14 it would take to sign him. Defensively, he probably only has 1-2 years left. After that, he's the full-time DH with the occasional OF start. Happ - Decline and resign as a long reliever or minor league starting depth Izturis - I keep, decent bench bat, good defensive versatility. Valencia - keep, if he can be had for less than 3M in arbitration. Good bat, occasional starter Kawasaki - Minor league depth Francisco - Gone. Too much swing and miss for that kind of power. Thole - need him for Dickey, as no other catcher has proven capable of catching a knuckler. Reyes - Keep, only true leadoff hitter we have, and his contract absolutely makes hum untradeable. The rest, I agree with.
  4. I agree. Since we're all Blue Jays fans, I'm surprised no one has mentioned this jump throw from Jonathan Diaz yet. It's all arm:
