    You do know must of those non compete clauses don't amount to much more then the paper they are written on. Plus it is a promotion not a lateral move ! How much will any move he makes while running this team look now. Holding him hostage should do wonders for the O's team! Disgruntled employee how could this turn out bad! Plus now with all the light being shed on this if they remove him they would have to pay him for the duration to do nothing!

    How do you figure that? Happens all the time in the real world not called sports! Plus if they file and block him from the job they would have to pay him to even under non competition clause, be tied up in court, couldn't hire someone during it either I would assume!     Did not DD himself say he wants the Job expressing it openly to the media and is it not his boss who said he will not let him out of his contract.... Tampering vs blackmail which is the greater offense? This plus holding a employee hostage, not like contracts are never broken... Flip side can't DD just quit and claim mental abuse by his employer and walk away clean and free! Tampering bye bye my ass! So he has a clause like most that says he can leave for a promotion is that not a standard clause for most coaches and gm types?
