    Stephen Brunt is pretty interesting to listen to and its always cool to hear stories about players that you would never normally get to listen to. Jeremy Taggart is a pretty cool guy too.

    I originally bought 2 tickets for $25 each for Pitch Talks on Thursday. I can't go anymore so I was wondering if anyone here wanted to go? Stephen Brunt is interviewing Anthopolous so it should be fairly interesting. Let me know if you want the tickets.

    I honestly prefer seats more toward CF when I'm in the OF. I find you can actually see balls/strikes way better.

    Thats true. Most season ticket holders are in the 100 level so it does make sense that all of those seats would be gone.

    Jose was terrible at 1B last year. I remember him dropping 2 routine balls thrown to 1B. One he literally just missed the catch. People forget how great his bat is it seems. The guy has been legitimately one of the best hitters in the word for the last 6 years and still is producing on an elite level.

    I doubt that. The only gen public they have is probably Flight Deck. They will have some for people who buy full season tix next year though. Thats an easy way to grow the STH for next season since everyone will want playoff tickets.

    I wonder how long it will take for them to sell out. Anyone who had access to decent seats know if they were able to get a good section?

    I think pitchers are going to adjust by stop throwing him balls and start throwing a lot more strikes. If Going can actually stick he's going to show he can consistently do damage by hitting strikes. Just looking at his splits and seeing his batted ball profile he's only making hard contact 24% of the time in August with a 57% GB rate. That gives me some hesitation in saying he's turned a corner. Now in August he seemed to be hitting balls up the middle a lot more as well which maybe points to a change in approach. I just don't think next season you count on Goins being anything more than a backup.

    I don't want to see him in the playoffs tbh. He's shown that he's still prone to the HR and he's just been really lucky a lot of them are solo shots. I think playoff rotation should be Price Stroman Dickey Hutch if we get to line it all up. If Buehrle starts to pitch well then have him start instead of Hutch.

    Yeah Travis is an average to above average defender. Goins is elite defensively so I'd say Goins is the much better defender but Travis has the much better bat. I'm still taking Travis though. He's 3 years younger and has more potential. Goins defense is probably in the decline stage already while I think Travis has some more power potential.

    how is he cheaper if they both make league min. lol. Goins is the much better defender but I'll take Travis's bat. Goins has had a really good month but it's still only been a month. Lets not get ahead of ourselves.

    whoa lets not get ahead of ourselves here. I'm still taking Travis 10/10 times. Goins is the perfect backup IF for the team as Tulo and now Travis both have injury concerns.

    its not just Barry Davis. Arden Zwelding who is great at getting lots out of players said as much in his podcast this week as well.
