  1. Honestly I think high power guys are what you would want in the playoffs as Home Runs are what you need to score. Good luck piecing 3 or 4 hits in an inning vs quality pitching. Cleveland won in large part because of Home Runs (offensively speaking). Their batting average was like .170 but slugged .386.
  2. Given how valuable relievers are now I'm surprised people are still asking the question to move him to the rotation. He probably has more trade value as a top 5-10 reliever than a number 3/4 starter.
  3. lol I was listening and it was more like "we could use some more balance to the lineup and speed". He knows as well as anyone the team just needs talent to win.
  4. Should have offered him 3 years last offseason! He probably would have taken the extra year at only 7 or 8 more million.
  5. No point in trading Osuna unless you are getting a Miller package in return. He's one of the best relievers in baseball making league min. You can trade him in a year or 2 when he starts to make more $ and you'll get just as much in return.
  6. Actually we don't. Donaldson is really the only elite power guy. Tulo, Martin and Travis are all around average to slightly above.
  7. I'd like to see Cecil brought back at something like 3/20. Have Grilli as a Latroy Hawkins type and sign someone else for high lev. If the team's record goes sour bullpen arms return great value at the deadline.
  8. Unless they sign him to a new contract the following year always kicks in if he is brought back for that season.
  9. Need to trade for someone. Have to upgrade on Navarro.
  10. Just call season ticket line or the general number. Whoever answers the phone will be able to do it.
  11. Are any of these morons who post about these things the jackass who ran on the field? I see a lot of similarities.
  12. He had to backload it to fit it into Rogers budget. Since the payroll should be top 5 in MLB for next year it really doesn't f*** us at all...
  13. He would get at least double that now.
  14. Apparently after Saunders PH for Upton NAvarro will be PHing when Miller comes in.
  15. Bautista is better than Saunders. Saunders lets everything drop in front of him.
  16. Except he's not getting at least 2-3 ABs. He probably only gets 1 maybe 2.
  17. 1.98 xFIP in the 2nd half of the season with a 35.9% K-rate but because he walked 2 guys in the postseason he isn't in the circle of trust? Thats stupid. He was fantastic yesterday.
  18. f*** you haven't been paying attention have you. First of all if he doesn't hit that HR in the WildCard game pretty damn good chance they don't even get to the ALDS... And if you can remember the media asked him in Spring Training about his contract situation and what he is looking for, and he gave an answer. Its not like he texted every f***ing media member to come over to him because he has an announcement. His bitching of umpires is annoying but tons of f***ing players do it including JD, EE and even Tulo. Obviously he's in decline, no one is denying that but lets treat the guy with some f***ing respect for all he's done for the franchise.
  19. Brett Cecil is fantastic vs RHH as well as lefties. I hate wasting him for 1 or 2 PA when he is good enough to pitch an entire inning.
  20. Goal is to win the series. Bringing in Osuna with a 4 run lead lessens your chance to win today by a larger margin than it did increasing the chance to win yesterday. You don't pitch him yesterday he can probably go 2 innings today.
  21. He's still a damn good player, obviously no where near where he was a few years ago but he's still a 130wRC+ bat which is pretty f***ing good. He's always been an upfront and honest guy. I hate when people criticize players for giving an honest answer to the media because these are the same people who say their needs more "emotion" in the game blah blah blah.
  22. Fans forget Jose Bautista is one of the greatest players in Blue Jays history. Says a couple comments and people can't wait to run him out of town. Holy f*** relax.
  23. Bringing in Osuna was a pretty bad move today. He'll be pitching 3 consecutive days tomorrow. A 4 run lead in the 9th is pretty damn safe.
  24. Why would anyone care what Barreto does at this point? If anything you should cheer he does well. Josh Donaldson has worked out better than anyone could have hoped when that trade was made. I'll never understand why people would cheer against former prospects. The best thing is for a trade to work out for both clubs.
