  1. A wonderful gesture for a guy who was a heck of player before injuries robbed him in his early 30's. Was on pace to be a HOF to boot.
  2. Really unbelievable how bad they've been. By the end they'll have blown well past it and probably end up with around 115 losses.
  3. I don't know for sure what's happening, but our GM seems to have more control now (he had lost a lot of power after trying to get the Toronto job). Trades are much quicker and not being vetoed (e.g. Britton before the injury, and Brach back when he sat at 95MPH rather than 92MPH, which would a yielded a much greater return. This really would have sped up the rebuilding). Peter Angelos has taken a step back and his sons seems to be taking over ownership. They are going to be more involved in the International market (better late then never), something that P. Angelos would never allow. They are cutting cost which figures, but there's also a chance the O's will be sold. So we'll see what happens. Anyways, good luck to you guys. I've always thought of the Blue Jays as brothers in a sense, in the wake of the 2 Goliath's in our division. If it's not us I hope it's the Jays than can at least give them a run for their money and maybe even steal a spot from them sometime in the coming years. Best Wishes!
  4. No argument there, God this team is so bad! I can't count the # of times I've done face palms this year. Oh well, even if we lose at least we get a higher draft pick. Not that I really trust their farm system to develop properly. Oh well, just have hope, that's all you can have.
  5. So this Trout guy is pretty good.
  6. Why couldn't this have happened when he was on the Yankees, damn.
  7. Such a dysfunctional organization.
  8. Sorry, didn't see that the Roy Halladay thread was pinned at the top now.

  10. I am shocked and saddened by this news. Being in the AL East I got many an up and close look at him and while I hated losing to him I always appreciated his pitching artistry. I hope now that he is on the pitching mound in heaven throwing that palm ball he loved so much.
  11. Wonder how long it's going to take me to stop hating the Royals, lol?
  12. Talk about an awful contract. He's below replacement level already and they still have him under contract for 4 more years at $27, $28, $29, and finally $30 mil a year. Yikes!
  13. -3 F is -19.4 C -50 C is -58 F according to Google. Either way I have some work to do.
  14. I've always wanted to visit the arctic but it's probably good I haven't yet because the lowest tempature I've been is -3 F.
  15. Not saying it is. But keep in mind this, Dodgers have to continue to keep HOU off the board.
  16. Not saying the game is over. Just saying with multiple runners on base this late in the game you realistically need to get more than just 1 run. If they had chipped away earlier with 1 run here, 1 run there than things would be different, that's all.
  17. Got 1, but it's a little late for just that. That chipping away needs to have come earlier.
  18. It would be sad for such a great WS to end like this.
  19. 4.74 ERA coming into tonight and that's going up now.
  20. Darvish coming up as small as you can in this WS.
