  1. I agree with you "King." Dermody was college sign (like Kalfus) and has a solid record of putting up consistent numbers in college and in Vancouver. Coming from good programs is like high A or AA ball. Successful college players have already proven that they can handle traveling, academic demands and are stay focused and perform regularly at a high level (equivalent to AA). The Jays tend to undervalue their college draft picks (as opposed to how the oakland A's have a history of highly valuing their college picks.)
  2. "King" - the Blue Jays haven't been in a single playoff game in over 2 decades! (22 years and counting) - not even a wild-card game. So, where players are placed following spring training probably has little to do with their talent or their performance and more to do on what our scouts project them to be. As a result, we really have played any meaningful games in a very long time. Slugging the ball is not the Blue Jays weakness - and its also not the way to get to the post-season. Go Jays.
