    The big advantage for the Jays is they are the only team of the lot who don't have to give up a first rounder. And then if they sign a second pitcher that pick is even lower. Its kind of how the Indians ended up with a bunch of free agents at the end like bourn.

    The only thing that has changed is the jays have gone from the worst value bet last year to the best value bet. They are more underrated then they were overrated last year.

    Im aware he had a war of 1 last year but his babip was bit over league average. The K/9 is also great but I dunno I'm not that impressed Cubs pitchers stats inflate like balloons when they leave that place (Dempster, Garza, Feldman). Color me skeptical but I would love to see read an article to change my mind.

    Am i the only person who wouldn't even trade a bag of balls for samardzija. He was terrible last year in the NL and i don't see how two of our like 7 wild card pitchers couldn't produce a 4.3 era especially since some of them are on the weighted balls like mcgowan. One of stroman, mcGowan, hutch, drebek, romero, happ, rogers, or nolin will be better then smardzija next year and ill bet my shirt on it.

    His final year with the team he had a 4.2 War with 31 hr hitting .273 and was an all star. More naive me back then was actually upset when we traded him away for nothing.

    It's also worthwhile to note that all of these pitchers were drafted and developed by their current major league team with the exception of felix who was an undrafted signing by the mariners and obviously darvish although he has also only been in one major league organization.
