  1. The "joke" just serves to give impetus to the idea his opinion should be marginalized on the bases of ethnicity. The "joke" is essentially "Who cares, he's a fat Greek". I'm not offended by it, just read it and think, "k....".
  2. The two out triple, baseballs biggest tease.
  3. For a pitcher with that much control and surplus value of course, but that's not in the cards. Not worth a half season of Cueto or a paid Hamels.
  4. I don't think they can stand pat with one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball. If they do make the playoffs they wont be able to score 6 runs per game against those pitchers. I don't think Kazmir would be the difference maker anyway, Need an actual ace if they are going for it.
  5. What team selling a starter would want any of those players, maybe Goins, but he could only net a filler reliever. I would move Pentecost for the right pitcher, Norris++ if the can get Cueto and Chapman. Wouldn't trade Hoffman, really the only prospect I wouldn't trade.
  6. Agreed, I care less about Reyes errors than I do about the balls Colabello doesn't even get an error on because he is so terrible.
  7. Would be better than trading an Norris for a closer.
  8. Wasn't Reyes worth almost 1 WAR before they had him play injured for 2 weeks? Reyes is still a 3 win player, an overpaid one, but that happens at the tail end of a players payday contract. Same could easily be said about Buerhle.
  9. yes, but Martin did have him try and figure out the curveball at the start of that AB, Had Sanchez pitching scared.
  10. That double was on Martin, don't know what he was thinking.
  11. Gibbons doesn't trust him I guess, or Gibbons really respects the Orioles lineup. Wouldn't have brought out Osuna if it was just something with Buehrle. I think they also want to get Osuna as many innings as possible, I expect him back out in the eight.
  12. Which was insane, He would have gotten more on the open market. Proved they just wanted him gone though.
  13. If they didn't have to give up so much offense to make it happen. Maybe they just platoon him with Lind, but Gibbons has been sitting Bautista with whatever excuse he can think of, So I do think Lind would get most of the time at DH.
  14. He was technically a 2 WAR catcher, he should have been able to turn him into some kind of prospect. I think he was holding out for a reliever or a MLB player and that was too hard a trade to line up.
  15. That Caliber Dh is not easy to come by, even if it is just a platoon.
  16. They should have said no.
  17. Or Bautista would be on the DL like he probably should be.
  18. AA definitely overplayed has cards when it came to Navarro, may not even be movable at the moment.
  19. Estrada is not helping.
  20. He's already almost been worth that much.
  21. I don't see how Lind is expensive, He's the long side of the platoon.
  22. I'm not sure that's how it works.
  23. Happ/Saunders is a fair trade and I still think the Jays win it in the long run, But Lind/Estrada never made sense. Why would you bring the most homer prone pitcher in baseball to such a homer friendly ballpark, especially when his decline came with a drop in velocity.
