  1. I think Jays should move Johnson. He's a bad fit in competive division pitching in home run hitters ball park. Granted his value is at its low, get a B prospect back and move on. Take the 5 million saved this year and probable 15 million next year, and put it towards another major player.
  2. Hard to tell a number exact. lol...I cheated a little bit. I remember a radio interview Pat Gillick did back in the day saying what he aimed for when building the Jays. Range on turf with glove and arm. It will cut down balls off from getting in the alleys, makes triple and doubles into singles. On turf balls will get quicker to infielders, etc... need great range and glove, quickness. Also gives you speed on base paths, hardly hit into double plays, ability to go from first to third, second to home.
  3. Move to 2nd good. Bonifacio horrible with glove. On turf you need defense and range. One of our reasons for failure this year. 2b been bad all year, Arencibia bad behind the plate, Reyes average defensively at best. When we were winning defense up the middle was our strong point. Devo, Robbie, Tony...how many gold gloves between them? In '85 era it was Shaker, Tony, Garcia, Whitt, all had the range
  4. I imagine the draft pick is more than they can get more Johnson. Why they not trading him. He makes 13 million, only 1 win this year and has arm troubles.
  5. Wilner said today Romero 6 of last 7 starts been quality starts
  6. 3 team trade...Johnson and Janssen to Texas...Garza+ to Toronto?
  7. Marlins trade was over rated. Miami underachieved last year with same players we traded for, so how AA think it'd be different here?
  8. What Rasmus did last year. I'll offer 1 year contract, use financial incentive to motivate. Everybody we locked up long term early they immediately tanked ie. Escobar 2011 season, Romero, Morrow, Happ, Lind, Hill, Rios. Mistake to lock up players too early, he's not free agent until 2015
  9. Garza good chance walk as free agent and likely cost what's left of the farm system. Why Blue Jays do it when they are not in pennant race?
  10. Sounds like good idea. We have a little depth in the pen with a few injured arms coming back soon
