    Maybe AA goes after Dayan Viciedo. He was released and shouldn't cost much. At least the Jays won't have to give up assets. I don't like DV but meh, should be replacement level till Saunders is back.

    Ew... I feel a little worse for Saunders in this because he was exited to be a part of the Jays, came in 2 weeks early in spring training and tried to get to know everyone as best as he could. Please don't turn into Brett Lawrie the OF version..

    I am down for getting rid of anyone on this team from Bautista to Stroman as long as the end result is clearly making the team better. With that being said, being that the team believes they will be in contention, lets hold off on trading the guy that ranked 7th in WAR (probably top 10 is you factor other catcher's pitch framing) and 5th in WAR for OF. Mkay?

    The whole Dirks situation sucks. I recalled discussing with BTS that it shouldn't be too much of a concern cause he played in the minor league last season. Now I am eating crow on this situation. Ichirio would have been better depth. Oh well, at least we have Pillar!

    Nope, think he got to the top 3 - 5, depending on the publication. But good catch! Forgot about him being traded to TB. Probably the most recent highest (top 5) ranked prospect traded. You could argue Russell as well I suppose from the A's though he wasn't ranked top 5 at the time of being traded. Nice dig! Guess its really not often you see the top MLB ranked prospect get traded.

    With all this discussion of Profar, I am wondering, has the no. 1 ranked prospect ever been traded in MLB History? Not no. 1 for a team, but no. 1 overall in all of MLB. With the recent history of no. 1's (Buxton, Profar, Trout/Harper, Strasburg/Hayward, Weiters/Price, Bruce/Longoria, Dice-K/Gordon) none have been traded. NOTE: I mean this before they made their MLB appearance. Not after they made the MLB lol.

    Pretty sure RealAccountant is a 13 - 16 year old insecure teenage girl.

    His contract. It will more than likely have a non-compete clause. The O's own his rights for the 4 years and he cannot take a job with another team. Even if he quits or retires and comes back after, he'd have to go to the O's for the remainder of the contract.

    Not sure if you can say that. Maybe the org would have traded him for another player or his injuries may have been cause of concern to move him at 1B. Maybe we could have still had Martin and not Smoak. Maybe Lind got traded sooner. Who knows? All I know is that this trade sucked for the value we gave up, not necessarily the player we got.
