    Didn't see a thread. - Martin can frame - Martin made a terrible throw to first to get Cabrera out and Cabrera went gunning for 3rd but was thrown out by Bautista at 3rd

    This actually got me digging a little and Nationals might be the only team that has the potential. Their rotation projection: Scherzer 4.9 Zimmerman 3.7 Strasburg 3.7 Gonzales 2.6 Roark 2.2 Fister 2.0 Jesus that depth. On top they have Giolito waiting in the minors. It goes to your point that no team has a a replacement but made me realize how much I hate the nationals.

    Truthfully with the way Pillar has played so far in spring training I think the Jays can take their time with Saunders. Not saying Pillar is better but should be more than capable of holding the position down for a additional week or two after the season starts. This way the Jays can send Saunders down to get his at bats and swing ready.

    I agree and disagree. Smoak certainly has a pretty good eye/plate discipline as I've seen him stay patient at some at bats and take close pitches. He has also been solid at 1st defensively. The biggest gripe is his swing. If we could shorten that out or if he could find a way to magically increase his bat speed he'd likely be a above average hitter. Overall what he brings defensively which allows EE to be off the field might be enough to make the lineup.

    Smoak has pretty good plate discipline but his swing is a weakness. Bautista and Donaldson need a intervention with him.

    Loving the exposure that Stroman and Norris are getting but people should also watch out for Hutch! I think he might be the pitcher I am most excited to see.
