Dickey said that his salary at Toronto or New York is almost the same tax wise, maybe 20k more expensive in Toronto. I assume it's very similar in this case too.

Drew has never played at 2B in his life and he has medical problems. Bonifacio played some games there and it didn't work out too well. It makes sense to have Goins in Buffalo to start the year but they want some solid defense on 2B and they don't know what they will get with Drew.
