    Wouldn't Buerhle's velocity pretty much render the Dickey effect moot? Though with Price the effect would be nasty.

    I wasn't around the boards at the time, but I can tell you that I was completely against that trade from the beginning and that's never changed. What a disgrace. I try to tell myself that maybe just Syndergaard and I would have been okay with it, but to put your top prospect and top pitching prospect (top 2 at least) in a trade for him was a disaster waiting to happen.
