  1. wat wat waaat (3 K in the inning lol wat)
  2. He has been worth nearly 1 win over replacement in his brief time here. He's been excellent.
  3. Yes, Cody Allen is very good.
  4. STFU King omg, you don't need to be annoying just because you were banned.
  5. The positional adjustment for being a DH is what makes the defense negative. In Colabello's case, he's such a horrible defender that he would likely be more valuable playing as the DH. He's a really really really bad defender.
  6. Don't think they should have sent him. Luis Rivera is dumn
  7. I watched a few innings of the MLB broadcast, and while I found it very much enjoyable, I have a few comments about it: -I get it, you can't shove wOBA and wRC+ down people's throats, but as both are better models that assess hitting performance, I felt they should have at least introduced them as the valuable statistics than they are rather than focus on OPS and OPS+ like they did for most of the broadcast. -Despite the attempt at utilizing more advanced statistics, guys like Millar still went on long rants where he valued RBI and batting average higher. It's inevitable that the casual in the booth would go to the traditional statistics that he knows at heart, but having dedicated portions where one guy talks about the value of "run producing" is annoying if their focus is to ease fans into more indicative stats of performance. Arguing that Cespedes was a better fit for the Mets than Carlos Gomez because the former has a greater chance to produce 90-100 RBI and is "a presence at the plate" is cringy. -Umps suck, there's no doubt about it, but I would have appreciated if they mentioned something about catcher framing. Both teams (Giants and Astros) employ good framers, their contributions could have been noted rather than acting dumbfounded whenever there was a bad strike call or when a pitch that was clearly a ball almost looked like a strike.
  8. The Indians win!!!!! More importantly, THE YANKEES LOSE!!!!!!!!
  9. There are some electric arms coming out of both teams' bullpens. I'm having a blast watching this game. Usually I would envy teams who were able to put gas throwers inning after inning, but our BP is also filthy now
  10. Have you seen their pitchers? That isn't really a joke, their team has a lot of talent.
  11. The only hitter who legitimately looks lost to me is Zach Walters. Guys like Brantley, Santana, Gomes, Lindor etc. have been battling it out all game since I started watching.
  12. Guys, the Indians are first in baseball in O-Swing%. That means that out of all the teams they swing at pitches outside the strikezone the least. They are also 4th in O-Contact%, which means that usually when they swing at outside pitches they tend to hit them better than other teams. The Yankees' relievers have been very good.
  13. Most of them don't, but like o2 said there are varying levels of incompetence. Bob Davidson has been one of the worst umpires in the game for decades and is still going strong.
  14. Dude, you're watching the game right? Mitchell has some electric stuff, they're chasing because it looks good, these are professional hitters at work, if they knew the pitch was going to end up in the dirt they wouldn't swing.
  15. That's Bob Davidson behind the plate. He doesn't have a clue.
  16. Sheeeeeeit What a game!
  17. Yan Gomes with the game on the line, cool lol.
  18. Haha well I'm listening to YES network thanks to RSN who decided to broadcast the end of the game. They are also a pleasure to listen to.
  19. Mitchell has been absolutely filthy. Gotta give props where they're due.
  20. This is a great game to watch.
  21. What? Wow it didn't look like he went.
  22. Both teams are burning right through their bullpens.
