  1. Totally bro, Chris Sale is such a predictable pitcher. I can't believe these hitters aren't teeing off.
  2. Biyombo clone or is he a forward?
  3. I'm with you there, but prospects are a whole different ballgame, in baseball and to a lesser extent also in basketball. I think calling Masai dumb as f*** is harsh, because these are players that we as fans have much less exposure to than NBA players of which we have tons of video and data for, and know how to interpret said data. I think your analogy about Josh Johnson is not valid in this case. We had data of him for years, all throughout professional baseball, we knew his injury history, we knew the guys we were giving up. Just my opinion, I don't think it's the same thing at all.
  4. So don't take this the wrong way...but what the f*** do you know lol? I'm not saying trust Masai blindly, but I'm sure the front office that scouted all of these players were comfortable making this decision. There's really no need to be upset or happy about this imo, unless you have some inside knowledge into all of this.
  5. Lebron James comps are a bit cringy, though I guess that's the go-to comp for an all-around forward. Him and Grant Hill.
  6. Vlad Sr. had a career walk rate of 8.1%, with multiple seasons above 10%, striking out at a lower rate than that in multiple of those. So yeah I wouldn't mind a borderline HOF talent giving advice to lower level prospects.
  7. Either of those players would fit in amazingly on this team. This would be a huge acquisition.
  8. Two excellent plays by Travis in a row.
  9. Those shadows must be terrible for the hitters, specially when the ball is coming in at 97.
  10. It's been less than 100 PA. Give him some time.
  11. Ray is throwing serious heat. He's been sitting 95-96 and easily touching 97 all game long from the left side, which is impressive.
  12. Happ has actually had a really good start today, even when you factor in how he kept getting squeezed, he has 8 strikeouts and 4 walks in 5 innings.
  13. Travis is uncharacteristically pulling some of these outside pitches in this series. He usually tries to go the other way with those, I'm sure he'll make the adjustment soon enough.
  14. Might be one of those umps that has the zone shifted towards one side of the plate. Or maybe he just wasn't feeling Happ's facial hair in that inning.
  15. He'll have to finish the job himself it seems like. The ump is giving him nothing.
  16. Happ has multiple pitches working today, very pleasant to see. Not just relying on the fastball.
  17. To be fair, O'Brien has legitimately mashed in the minors. The power is real, but so are the K's and the lack of walks.
