I agree 100%. It's so refreshing to have a backup who doesn't look like an idiot receiving a pitch that wasn't at its intended location, for once. I missed tonight's game, I'll check the 30 minute recap later on, but I was really impressed with Maile on his other start against the Rays. It's just so nice to have a sound defensive catcher as a backup for the first time in a few years, and no offense to Thole who wasn't awful but his name was attached to Dickey who was the worst to endure.
