  1. I mean, 7-1 in the bottom of the second isn't an insurmountable deficit.
  2. Well yeah, but what's the point of leaving in there for longer and risk more runs being given up? Better starters than him have done worse, they made it out just fine. Anyone in this thread who suggested that he should go back to the bullpen immediately and/or permanently as a result of this one poor performance is a reactionary idiot and deserves to be called out as such.
  3. Confidence is a thing. Biagini's shown a lot of promise up to this point, no need to completely crush him as if he's Casey Lawrence or something.
  4. Biagini really struggling to find the strikezone. Not too often you seem him like this.
  5. It's possible though unlikely that he's been making better pitches...the most likely explanation is just luck balancing itself out. Despite a higher (and unsustainable) BABIP than last season, his LOB% is a lot higher, around where it should be, homerun rate is down (though still a tad elevated), and he still has practically the same batted ball and plate discipline profile. Just a good pitcher not getting unlucky anymore (it could be argued that he's getting a bit lucky this year, but not exceedingly so).
  6. Left handed starter, not to mention a rather tough one at that.
  7. Hey folks. I messaged GD and he says he wants Adrian Morejon. I'll try to PM the next guy, I believe it's Boxy right? Sorry for the delay.
  8. You're probably thinking of Pentecost who is 24 in A+, but obviously he also suffered substantial injuries.
  9. You're likely wasting those guys coming off the bench every 3 or 4 days, unless they're so athletic that they can play multiple positions around the field. Depends on what your definition of stud is in this case.
  10. Let's maybe slow down for a second. He's only 22, he's a catcher, and his career had been slowed down due to injuries. This is his first time performing at a very high level against good competition; there's no need to rush, especially if the team believes he can be an asset. With Russell Martin healthy for the time being, there's no need to potentially stunt Jansen's development by being needlessly aggressive. Martin's not going anywhere any time soon, there's plenty of time for him to give him advice in Spring Training or during the offseason. I'm not against a September call-up if he keeps tearing up AA for an extended period of time, but it's only been 81 PA, we should wait and see how his power, plate discipline and bat control skills continue to develop and adjust as he spends longer playing against tougher competition than he's ever seen before.
  11. Most languages have translations (so to speak) of common names. You don't see North American people with names like Jooan (Juan).
  12. Maikel Franco's name is a bastardized version of Michael, spelled as it sounds in Spanish. Similarly, Dayana for Diana and Brayan for Brian. Latin American people are weird.
  13. Hey, the guy has a 1.075 OPS at CWS and .828 OPS at Wrigley in his career. He ain't wrong.
  14. Ah yes, great manager indeed. http://i.imgur.com/eapoUAM.png
  15. His plate discipline numbers are around career averages. His flyball rate is up but that's also lead to him inducing more infield flies. No significant changes in velocity. It's probably just variance.
  16. Also, don't forget about Daniel Norris who is still only 24 years old and is at least a league average starter right now. David Price was great for us, don't get me wrong.
  17. Aaron Hicks just took a game-tying grand slam away from Luis Valbuena.
  18. Lol, he got the out but everyone on the Rays hit Osuna's filthy sliders/cutters, just like I predicted.
  19. At least Dickerson was actually good before back in Colorado.
