  1. I did not. I like Sullivan a lot but he's also being forced to put out junk every week and it sucks.
  2. I wanted to do some research and see if this has in any way affected run expectancy compared to the intentional walk of previous years. I think there's something to be said about removing the pressure of throwing 4 unnecessary pitches, with the small but existent chance that something can go wrong, and just getting on with your gameplan to focus directly on the next batter which is the one that counts.
  3. It has to be clicks. Clickbait titles leading to clicks leading to (whatever little) ad revenue they get every time a person gets an ad. Likewise. The only articles I get anything out of these days are the ones where potential breakout reliever X is mentioned and they have a few cool .gifs of them showcasing their repertoire. But that's for fantasy baseball purposes.
  4. Fangraphs is really running out of things to publish at this point. Embarrassing. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/technically-baseball-really-is-more-boring/
  5. Will future in-week games also count towards the Season High Points prize money?
  6. Actually, Montero is arguing exactly that. He's pointing fingers at Arrieta saying he's too slow to the plate (which is true) and in the process absolving himself of blame for not throwing out any baserunners. Funny enough, I just read an article which says that according to Statcast's catcher pop times, Miguel Montero is second worst in the league in that category, so he's not exactly helping himself in any way.
  7. Looks like stacked pitching with unorthodox lineup is definitely the way to go in this contest.
  8. Holy f***, he was halfway down the line already.
  9. I mean, Morales was supposed to hit the 3-2 fastball down the pipe.
  10. Scherzer seems too good to pass up these days. I don't like my lineup at all but most of the hitters I chose are facing garbage pitching and/or in a good hitting ballpark.
  11. P Jeff Hoffman P Max Scherzer C Chris Iannetta 1B Eric Thames 2B Logan Forsythe 3B Ryon Healy SS Trevor Story OF Cody Bellinger OF Jake Marisnick OF Christian Yelich
  12. Wow Happ is older than I thought, I thought he was 32 or 33 at the most. Good for him, he's become a very good starter since the long gone days of him being a potential centerpiece in a Roy Halladay deal.
  13. Nicolino is still there, though he's not particularly good.
  14. Looks like that worked out well for her.
  15. A Cody Bellinger homerun just bumped everyone up a bit, and bumped me down just as much.
  16. Ugh, the comments that people are linking to on the reddit thread are disgusting.
  17. Seriously though, Jason Grilli of all people? Come on Gibbons.
  18. f*** the Kansas City Royals.
  19. Grilli coming in...oh boy. Come on Jason.
  20. f*** the Royals so much.
  21. I hate him and the rest of the team so much. Except Salvador Perez, he seems like a nice guy.
