The Lakers with LeBron are probably the most attractive free agent destination in the league, the only reason why I wouldn't bank on this team making the playoffs this year is that the Western conference is much tougher than the East. This Lakers team isn't really much worse than the 2018 Cavs and has a much higher ceiling with younger players. Yes LeBron will eventually start declining, but barring any major injury (which is possible due to his incredibly high mileage) he's far from not playing at an elite level. Dirk Nowitzki was only a year younger than LeBron currently is when he beat the Heat in 2011 and he wasn't the athletic freak that the latter is. This move to LA may have had a lot of PR and personal reasons attached to it beyond his own playing career, but it certainly does not signify the beginning of the end for him.
