  1. Looked like a good frame by Danny.
  2. Jesus Christ Teoscar, so good and yet so bad all at once.
  3. Smoak is such a rock. I love having him in the lineup.
  4. Eric Sogard boys.
  5. Oh Charlie you genius.
  6. I can't believe anyone would be upset that we have a former finalist for the face of MLB leading off for our team. Unfathomable.
  7. 1. If they were replaced by other players then no. Like in baseball, in soccer once you're substituted by another player you can't be put back in the game. It is possible that players are temporarily injured and they go to be treated momentarily at the sidelines, leaving the team shorthanded for the duration, then once they're fine again the ref will signal for them to join the action again. 2. Offside, Ziyech I think it was, he was ahead of the defensive line when the ball was kicked in his direction so even though he scored a banger he was in an illegal position to begin the play. Thus the goal never counted.
  8. While it's valid to compare them, it should be noted that Samad Taylor did that while being a year younger than Lopez at each level.
  9. It's been stated that BABIP for hitters takes north of 800 balls in play to stabilize. Given Alfaro's strikeout rate and the fact that he hits a good number of homers, it could take a while for his to stabilize and find out his approximate talent level. That's an interesting observation though, probably one of the highest BABIPs that I've ever seen from someone starting out their career for so many PAs. He hits the ball incredibly hard with few infield flies and a mostly normal GB/LD/FB distribution so it's entirely possible that his BABIP will tend to be higher.
  10. Pillar was an excellent player for us, guy was loved because he was a truly elite defender and put his body on the line on every play. Just because he had awful plate discipline didn't mean he was the same level of hitter as Ryan f***ing Goins.
  11. Yeah the Ford logo was plastered everywhere in the stadium, glad someone else noticed. I have to imagine they were sponsoring the event and the Mexican baseball commission had no problem with that (they also have logos on their uniforms IIRC and it looks f***ing awful).
  12. Socrates Brito is most likely a better baseball player than Dwight Smith Jr., and they're both probably awful baseball players at the MLB level so it's completely irrelevant if DSJ is the slightly better piece of s***. He is not worth losing sleep over, he wasn't going to be on this team in the future, and very likely neither will Brito.
  13. We needed this one for Charlie, guy was fuming after the Teoscar blunder on the bases earlier.
  14. Because we actually care about Biggio, the team might think he needs some more development at AAA, he's only been there for a couple of weeks. He obviously has flaws that they'd like to work on as well as continue to develop his positional versatility without the spotlight of the MLB.
  15. I can live without the strikezone, it's the lack of velocity that I find egregious not to have anywhere on a modern broadcast.
  16. This is such a large park.
  17. So elephant in the room, the broadcast has been missing the strikezone + velocity box since like the third inning. What gives guys? They really should have a backup plan for when this happens so they at least display the velocity on the score box.
  18. Attaboy Tim.
  19. He's a full two years younger and put up the same numbers or better at every level. That's rather significant for comparing their talent levels.
  20. Come on ump, at least check with the first base.
  21. Lmao Hanson, Jesus.
  22. Note to manager: don't put Adalberto Mejia in a two-run game against a bunch of righties.
  23. That'll do Teoscar!!!
  24. Freddy Galvis has had enough.
  25. Martin Perez is getting rocked.
