Some good pitches to Pinder there. Consistency is obviously the issue with Thornton right now, the stuff is there and the command isn't the worst you've seen but it does need a lot more polish. -

Give it a week and Statcast will be able to tell us his sprint speed which will answer this question. -
He has 16 career WAR by age 26. Explain to me how exactly he hasn't put it together? He's one of the best pitchers in baseball.

No one is cheering against Sanchez. We're pointing out that he wasn't sharp in that inning and was very lucky to get out of it with only one run given up, the botched DP not withstanding.
