  1. Yeah as exciting as it is to have Hatch start the year on the MLB team, he'll almost certainly get the boot when Chase Anderson, Pearson are activated or when the rosters dwindle to 28 and 26 players later in the season.
  2. Drury and Chase Anderson will begin the year on the IL. Both will likely bump someone off the team if/when they get healthy.
  3. Don't worry, he can throw it harder.
  4. Competitive meaningful baseball officially kicks off tomorrow, two days from now for us. This season is gonna be crazy but it has the potential to be a lot of fun too.
  5. I would wager a number of very good shortstops make that play, maybe even the average ones, but Bo wasn't that far off either he just messed up his footing so he got nothing under the throw. Andrelton Simmons is in a class of his own, he probably manages to plant and throw a seed there.
  6. Bailed out on that gorgeous play by Bo this inning, but Thornton looks very good out there.
  7. The Marlins and Tampa Bay exist, and last I checked the Phillies are in Pennsylvania.
  8. His career WAR/150 is 2.1, Grichuk is a player who is supposedly in the prime of his career so unless you believe his true talent level changed drastically at age 28 and this is who he is now then the deal is just about market value for the wins he has provided in the past. A 20 point BABIP drop with no other huge discernible changes to his batted ball or plate discipline profile is probably more indicative of what happened to Grichuk last season that made him look so below average.
  9. 10/300 is such a laughably bad offer for a player of his caliber and age.
  10. Mookie is probably a top ~3 player in the game. If this extension happens and is reasonable, at least as reasonable as one can expect for the caliber of such a player, then this is the Dodgers dunking all over the Red Sox. Part of the reason why he got moved is he was supposedly unwilling to talk extension and was dead set on testing free agency.
  11. Well if there's one thing the entirety of our outfield has it's speed. Let's hope they use it well.
  12. God damn that splitter. It just dies halfway to the zone and looks exactly like his 2-seam/sinker.
  13. Man when Fisher connects he has game changing power.
  14. Ryan Frasier making Jays fans leave this game happy.
  15. Classic Pillar lol. Don't know what I expected to see out of Bass but that was encouraging, nice fastball command and a tight slider.
  16. McKinney paying homage to Josh Hamilton with his new batting stance.
  17. Fisher can't keep getting away with catching balls like this lmao.
  18. I'm gonna have to disagree with you there, that looked like it was crushed off the bat.
  19. Jansen got rocked in the jaw right there. Hopefully he's alright.
