  1. Is Hatch not stretched out as a starter currently? Assuming he's not lit up, shouldn't we expect him to he able to throw 3 or 4 innings at least?
  2. Miguel Cabrera still hanging on. The Reds' bullpen promptly shits on the excellent performance by Castillo.
  3. lol no
  4. Luis Castillo just struck out the side in the 6th. 11 Ks through those frames. The Reds' pitching is manhandling the Tigers.
  5. Gaviglio is totally s***ing the bed. It was bound to happen bringing him into a tie game in the 8th.
  6. Looks like Rowdy finally accepted his fate.
  7. I don't know how he keeps doing it after struggling at AAA but he just continues to rake against MLB pitching.
  8. McGuire takes advantage of the mistake. Huge hit.
  9. Shaw saves us, although I doubt the run scores there anyway with Choi running. Only a one run game.
  10. f*** off Kiermaier, he's always there.
  11. He destroyed Lowe with splitters that AB.
  12. Way to get out of it Shoe. First hit was nothing too.
  13. Yeah the Olson heads up play was nice but the real star of that play was the Matt Chapman scoop.
  14. That's right. Supposedly that one is only temporary for the 2020 season, although it's thought to have been in the works for a while and may stick around past the next CBA. Other changes which were supposed to be permanent pre-covid are 26 man rosters, and relievers must face a minimum of three batters or finish the inning, whichever comes first, before being replaced with another pitcher. The rosters are now 30 men to begin the year, then it will drop down to 28 a couple of weeks after and later to 26.
  15. Less sexy lineup with McGuire instead of Jansen but it's a lot of games in little time so I guess it makes sense to give your main catcher as much rest as necessary.
  16. Not that we've seen better from Alford to make us have confidence in him, but watching Fisher in the field gives me Vietnam flashbacks. I'd like for the team to wait for him to stop giving us a heart attack on flyballs before they trot him out in the most difficult of the positions in the outfield.
  17. If anyone thought I was exaggerating:
  18. Matt Olson is so good.
  19. This is peak Hansel Robles experience.
  20. Jason Castro has had a rough night defensively. He's been moving all over the place and struggling with a few of those on the dirt.
  21. IMO the Rays and A's have implemented it by far the best. Some other teams are either half assing it or inconsistent so it'll get randomly loud when it doesn't call for it. I like it personally, too much silence feels weird.
  22. The Angels blow it. Heart of the lineup for the A's coming up.
