  1. Brutal luck, f***. Teoscar drilled that.
  2. Derek Fisher the best hitter of the game thus far.
  3. Joe Panik with another VETRIN AB.
  4. Romano's slider is so good. The fact that he pairs it with 97-99 is pretty cool too. Maple Giles!
  5. Cecil at his best was throwing his knuckle curve like 80% of the time, everyone and their mother knew it was coming, and it was guaranteed swinging strikes every time. He was extremely reliable.
  6. Wat Cecil was nails for us for years.
  7. Max Scherzer is throwing 5 plus-plus pitches. God damn he's good and so much fun to watch.
  8. Pretty sure that's the guy the FO thought they were signing. Great movement on all his pitches and the splitter tunnels extremely well with his fastball.
  9. More of that splitter Dolis. That was filthy.
  10. Jansen is like a grizzled veteran behind the plate, the pitchers have to love throwing to him.
  11. This isn't Charlie's call. Every starter has been on a short pitch count early in the season.
  12. Those sliders are straight filth.
  13. That AB was unfair. Nasty changeup followed by gross slider.
  14. Price was our last elite starter (not counting Ryu) but he probably topped out at 97.
  15. 99 painted on the outside black. That's unhittable.
  16. That ball was 106.4 mph off the bat, I thought it was a routine lineout at first but it ended up just missing being a homerun by a foot.
  17. Vlad forgot about the shift again but luckily Nate Pearson remembers part of his job is to cover the bases.
  18. I take it you haven't seen Pearson at the Futures Game or during a minor league start? There's a reason why he's been given with an 80 grade fastball.
  19. Considering established veteran innings eater Tanner Roark was taken out after only 73 pitches while cruising yesterday, I think Nate will be on a similar restriction. Doubt he throws more than 75-80 pitches.
  20. He hadn't played in the big leagues since 2017, and that was after consecutive years of significantly below replacement level production. It's puzzling that they literally could not find a single guy better in free agency (cough Puig cough), waivers or their minor league system.
  21. It's embarrassing that the reigning World Series champions are trotting out Emilio Bonifacio.
  22. Oliver Drake played for 5 teams in one season before landing in Tampa and figuring it out and becoming a valuable reliever for them. That's just how relievers are, one day they can just click and another they can fall apart. Wilmer Font was very good for us, and maybe he unlocked something which allowed him to be good going forward. Or maybe not. Relievers!
