  1. That was a nasty fastball with some crazy run at 96.
  2. Probably a set pitch count. I'd have to imagine it was the FO's call.
  3. Hatch's stuff very much plays at this level.
  4. Look I hate taking Ryu out as much as the next guy but who knows if our high performance department had a set pitch count on Ryu and most of our starters early in the season with the lack of real game action after months of layoffs, plus considering Ryu's injury history. At least Montoyo went to Hatch and not a brutal reliever.
  5. Josh Tomlin can seriously f*** off lol.
  6. What? For one Ryu's fastball hasn't been less than 89 all game and he has like 4 plus pitches so it's no wonder if Culberson, like every other hitter has looked foolish on one of them.
  7. That changeup is carving up the Braves lineup.
  8. Josh Tomlin is historically our father. I still have nightmares about him shutting our potent offense down in the 2016 ALCS with nothing but junk on the outside corners.
  9. Excellent sequence, gotta love the team taking advantage of a relative gift considering Inciarte is normally a lock to make that play.
  10. Dude that changeup is getting a ton of swings and misses.
  11. Grichuk robbed of a hit for the second game in a row.
  12. Lol Teoscar, with the way he played that you would have thought the ball was foul by 20 feet. But seriously nice play though.
  13. I think they're completely at the mercy of the home team's camera crew and likely their broadcast as well.
  14. Ryu looking filthy.
  15. Jesus, Riley got eaten up by those changeups.
  16. Charlie Montoyo making the right call once again. Extension when?
  17. Acuña has a cannon, I'm baffled as to why Riley cut that off.
  18. Grichuk hasn't quite tapped into his power yet this season but he's seeing the ball really well and hitting line drives left and right which is a great sign going forward.
  19. Vlad rocked a baseball in the air!!!
  20. Check out this pickoff from the other day. Even the home team announcers were laughing their asses off that a balk wasn't called. https://cuts.diamond.mlb.com/FORGE/2020/2020-07/29/f15b611e-5668511a-6a3ac111-csvm-diamondx64-asset_1280x720_59_4000K.mp4
  21. Meh, I wouldn't really say so. He showed this quality changeup in the Tampa game and the fastball was getting swings and misses in the Washington game. His stuff has been good this year, it's his command of those pitches where the problems have arisen.
  22. God damn that changeup is filthy.
  23. Umpires, like most baseball fans, don't know what a balk is and just make those calls based on their gut or how they're feeling that day (looking at you Joe West). Probably isn't a more inconsistent rule in the sport.
  24. I can't believe Ryu's super nonchalant move to first base actually got a pickoff. Being a lefty pays off I guess.
  25. Welp, Juan Soto might have injured his wrist or arm on the diving catch. He's probably out of the game too. Fun couple of innings for Nats fans and baseball fans alike. Edit: he's back out there
