Meh, I think all pitchers are being babied early in the season, we've seen it happen all around the league. Very few pitchers have thrown more than ~80 pitches in their first start. I doubt this was Montoyo's call to take him out after 5 innings with 73 pitches.

FWIW, Teoscar's flyout in the first inning had an EV of 106 mph, the hardest hit ball of the game thus far. He is simply crushing the baseball right now.

Biggio our 2B is in the outfield though. I'd rather put Drury at SS/2B with Vlad at 3B than having to see Joe Panik taking ABs from guys like Fisher or even Alford.

Would not recommend trading for Kimbrel. He has zero control and this is a terrible viewing experience.

He's not serious, he's just butthurt that people are correctly calling out Vlad for coming into camp without having any regard for his conditioning during quarantine (perhaps a bit harsh), forcing the team's hand to move him away from 3B way before they wanted to and then also looking like garbage at the plate when that's supposed to be his calling card. Vlad will be fine, but it's totally understandable that people aren't pleased with him.

He annihilated the minors while always being one of the youngest players in the league. It's not unreasonable for someone who's always been way better than his peers while being substantially younger to think they can do it well at the highest level.
