  1. Wow look at Cecil killing the outside corner. Here comes Santos!
  2. Oh FFS, and Kratz hits a line drive right to the defender.
  3. Booyah! Loup continues to be nails! RHH, LHH, you name 'em, Loup will get them out.
  4. Argues about bringing in better defenders to fill in the position, mentions Choo, smart.
  5. Let's say in a perfect world tomorrow we acquire Craig Gentry, and move Rasmus to LF, yay, good times! Then we have Bautista, who even without playing the best defense at RF is one of the most valuable players (easily) at the position, and what you would be doing is placing him in a position that already has two players that can provide about the same or more value than him. Wow the positioning is spot on for the infield this game. Great job by the staff.
  6. Positional value has been proven multiple times, you can't just disagree with something that is proven to be true. Exhibit A: EE and Lind both play at an offensive based position, one could even argue that EE last year was more valuable than what Bautista would have done at 1st. Bautista plays at least average defense at RF, you move him to 1B, he instantly lose a great deal of value. It's literally costing the team wins.
  7. I was looking for the perfect gif but this is the best I could find: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=gdLKOBM5_t8#t=65
  8. Diaz! Wow he's actually been making contact consistently!
  9. He doesn't understand positional value because it implies you have to be a good offensive player, whatever that means.
  10. Well no f***ing s*** you can't rule out trades, but you keep arguing that the team is worse off currently by playing Rasmus in CF and Bautista in RF, my argument is that with this current team we have no better alternatives. And I too would love to acquire a better CF, but just because there are better out there doesn't make Rasmus a bad one.
  11. So you want to move Bautista to 1st right now? Not like we already have 2 1B and a DH on the bench or anything. I want you to answer me this, who would be the alternative to Rasmus in CF? Obviously it's Gose but seeing as though Gose struggles to hit pitching you'd be downgrading the overall value out of the CF position. And if Rasmus moves to LF, where the f*** does Melky Cabrera play? Changing positions doesn't automatically make you a better player, because of positional value, if Rasmus moves from CF to LF we lose value, and the same can be said for Bautista.
  12. How long have you been watching baseball for? By metrics and even the simple "eye test" Rasmus is an above average CF, and last year he was top tier.
  13. Fatcow don't you dare mention the condition of the board! You're like the ultimate jinxer for these kinds of things.
  14. It's the Yankees though, you have to try and milk the umpire every once in a while to see how many plays go your way.
  15. Are you serious? Since when is a double to the RF-CF wall by a hitter like Cervelli a routine fly out? He was clearly playing shallow against Ellsbury, had that been in the gap you would've been complaining about his positioning allowing him to reach 3rd base.
