me.. i think shapiro and atkins get a B+ so far. I think they brought in lots of depth in the rotation that hopefully will result in success just through the completion for those spots. Ryu (A) Roark ( Anderson (B-) Shaw (B-) Shoemaker (B+) Yamaguchi (?) I feel we need just one more thing to really compete and (Have a chance too) be in that wild card battle. Let me clarify that I am not predicting we take a wild card. Just say we can be in that race if.. We add a legit OF bat preferably at CF. However not confident we will get this done. Giles? I don't see why if we added all this we would trade him unless we discover that one of those SP that don't make the rotation move to the bullpen and look to be a legit Closer PEARSON, maybe around the 1/3 point of the season? hoping, he excites me Vlad will take that next step, the team will also load manage him a bit. He admitted he ran out of fuel this season. In general this will be a much more exciting season. I never lose my interest in the Jays win or lose but this group could be very fun to watch

Hey all Whats your opinion on the OFFSEASON noise made by Shapiro and Atkins 1- What would you grade a list of what we needed vs what we have acquired? 2- Give a grade to each player we have acquired 3- What needs to be still addressed and how confident are you that we can address this need still? 4- Should we now still be looking to move Giles or extending him? 5- What portion of the season do you think we may see Pearson promoted? 6- Will Vlad take that next step and become a legit force like he was expected to be? Or.. any other questions you may see or want to offer an opinion on. I am interested where everyone sees this active offseason so far?

Hell, Jose B would have been a better fit at DH, and as much as I love him. I would still say no to him. The DH is a dead position, it is no longer used for a POWER Bat thats past his prime. It is now used to maneuver your position players around and get them a day off the field and some light rest. If you team is built correct now you have more bats then positions on the field thus creating the need for the DH spot revolving.

He would never agree, just DFA him, eat the money. Lots of teams do it to put a better product on the field.

2 Things I have noticed... 1) he doesn't seem to be using his deception pitch set up like he did last year, that double pump and single pump seems different. 2) That over the top personality seems calmed down. He needs them both back. Be that pitcher that annoys the other team

Lets be honest here people, he is holding this team back from being better. To many games where we could slot a more athletic player into the DH spot for a day off yet, still bat. However, our blue jays have alway been a team that looks at it as lost money to DFA a guy they still owe money. Its time they look at it as creating WINS by doing whats right to make this team the best iT could possibly be with the assets we have EACH DAY.
