    It makes sense to move him to AAA now that Blanco was released. That fiasco was the reason Thole was in AAA and holding down the starting job there. Not sure who our AAA starter is in the interim and too lazy to look it up. Likely waiting to get comfortable with the return from injury for a few weeks first, but soon is my guess.

    Santos has been so frustrating. People always write off this trade as no big deal because Nestor Molina has been a bust, but at least Chicago doesn't owe their guy >$8 MIL to be on the DL for three years. Worst part is that he has so much potential we will probably pick up his options and be regretting this trade all of the way into 2017.

    Romero now is way worse than Ankiel then. Ricky can't hit.

    But then we instantly turn him into a .270 hitter. He never has and never will hit lefties so what they are by platooning him is perfect.

    That is the sad part. It is such a wonderful swing......but he doesn't adjust his swing plane to attempt to make contact with the ball. If the pitcher doesn't throw it exactly where he normally swings he just gives up and misses it. Colby would be the best t-ball player in the world.

    It seems AA has a much tougher time pulling the trigger and cutting ties with position players than he does pitchers. I can see why you give Blanco the job out of spring training so that Thole gets regular at bats. But with how bad he has been a DFA should have occurred by now. Would love to see JPA reduced to being behind the plate 60% of the time at most, and filling in at DH if we feel it necessary to get him some additional at bats. Let's give Thole a look.
