    I'm probably in the minority but i would pick up the option and maybe take an insurance policy on it.

    There's no chance he would take a 2-3 year deal at 3-4 million per season. He would simply choose to be a FA and sign a one year pillow contract ( ie. Josh Johnson) to try and rebuild his value.

    If you were the GM would you pick up Brandon morrow's 2015 option for 10 million or buy him out for 1 million? A one year deal at 10 million ( 9 when considering the buyout) could represent nice surplus value. Although they will have gotten little/no production over the last 2 years when they need to make the decision. Risk/Reward....what would you do?
