Santana had the draft pick compensation which ultimately hurt his value along with the initial high demands of a contract. Pretty much every other FA pitcher did quite well for themselves. Josh Johnson ended the year on the DL with an arm injury (and would have cost 14 and opposed to 9) and i mentioned in my previous post that Morrow is a no brainier IF he ends the year healthy. Back end relievers get signed for 9 million contracts today.... Brandon Morrow hurt his finger this year. If he comes back healthy and stays healthy (i know i know) i fully expect him to put up decent numbers at the very least and at that point the option is an easy call.
