    Hoffman and Pentecost will sign. They would be incredibly dumb not too. I don't care how long it takes to get Hoffman since he's injured but let's get Pentecost to Vancouver.

    I guess it's possible. I think AA realizes he doesn't have a bottomless pitt when it comes to payroll and he's going to need pitching on the cheap in the upcoming years. I fully expect he would be willing to deal one of Sanchez or Norris - i just don't think he would gut the farm again and trade both.

He said this just a few weeks ago... “We are pretty much maxed out in terms of payroll, but more important, we cannot keep trading our young [minor league] pitchers,” Anthopoulos said. “We also have to be realistic about whom we can extend if we make a trade for him….We have been feeling out teams and doing background work. I think we’d probably look at something where we have a pitcher for the rest of this season. That makes sense." - AA

    Kratz is by far a superior defender and is a really good framer. Navvaro is a below average defender and framer, who's hitting wRC+ 83. Navvaro also can't run. Kratz has been worth 0.3 fWAR in 64 PA. Navvaro has been worth 0.1 fWAR in 217 PA.

    It's funny because i voted to get rid of the sub forum, but now that it's gone i kinda miss it.

    The division isn't very good. Many posters on here are expecting that we're going to crush and burn at some point but they need to consider how poor the other teams are. It's still early and we need to add a pitcher but i would be surprised if we didn't win the division.

    I wonder if Dioner Navarro has any trade value? Probably very little. I think we all agree that Eric Kratz is our best catcher. Trading Navarro would make our team better, free up 5 million in cap space for next year and also free up a spot on the roster so we don't have to have 3 catchers on the bench. Who might want him? Baltimore? Texas?

    Most people thought he was going to be s*** when his velocity was down (including myself) but he was actually decent just unlucky to start the year. ( BABIP: 350, HR/FB 23.3%) His xFIP was 3.12 through 46 innings. I think he'll be useful once he returns.

    Losing both CC and Pineda really hurt them. I'm not worried about the Yankees at all.

    OBP* Lol i don't think anyone would be thrilled with a 350 OPS. He's still a 4th OF for me.

    It's a good idea, i just can't see the Rangers going into "sell mode" (f*** you 2nd wildcard). Although putting Beltre into our lineup would make this offense just downright scary. Rangers would want young controllable pitching i would imagine.
