Yes it does. If we had signed Melky it likely means we don't sign Russell Martin who's playing at a MVP level. Melky has been brutal this year - hitting 72 wRC+ in 155 PA. Couple that with his s***** D and baserunning and he's been below replacement level who probably won't age well. -
