    Of course he has 0 impact on anything baseball/business related to due with the Jays. That part is obvious. Though based on the interview it's clear Shapiro does ask Beeston questions which makes sense with it being Shapiro's first year in Toronto and all. I think the surprising thing is Beeston stuck around after Rogers were shady as f*** with him and a new FO coming in. Most people move out of their office when they retire. The fact that he's in the office almost everyday is just 'wat'. Go enjoy retirement. The best part of the interview was when Shapiro was telling the story of how he asked Beeston what research/focus groups they conducted to support always having Saturday day games. Which Beeston simply stated "people have to BBQ Saturday night, it's as simple as that"
