  1. holy s***, that was insane.
  2. Guess we have the meh version of Berrios today.
  3. man what is up with Padres and losing lol Actually unfortunate that Brewers are playing worse, else SD would be out of wildcard spot right now.
  4. Yikes. 4 innings of MLB SS for Dalbec, ever.
  5. No ground gained tonight anywhere but a win is a win!
  6. Reese pitched better than Kikuchi
  7. Man Kikuchi, just throw fastballs. Wtf you throwing a slider for. jk he doesn't have his release point.
  8. JBJ streaking boys
  9. Judge almost never swings at stuff that are low/away borderline (being the biggest reason of Boone getting thrown out a lot for arguing those borderline calls against Judge). By forcing the pitchers to stay around the upper 3/4 of the strikezone, mistakes happen and he launches them. If you consistently try and make contact with those low/away pitches (even if there's an odd chance it'll be a strike), then that's all you're ever gonna get.
  10. Nice play by Strip & Vlad
  11. That swing should not have had that result. f***in Devers.
  12. LETS f***ING GO SPRINGGGGGGGGGGGGGERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR cf
  13. I hope this is beginning of the superhuman streak JBJ goes through at least once a year
  14. Did you want them to bunt him over? Both Vlad and Springer destroyed the ball lol.
  15. Hell ya. Gurry!
  16. ugh. Its going to suck if we don't score another double with less than 2 outs
  17. True, but I don't think he'll change his swing to get that LA. Even his MVP-season last year, the avg was 9.6 - now the pitchers adjusted, leading to more contact that nets bad LAs. Wonder if that'll factor in to his contract negotiations. Or is he going to get a contract based on what he is capable of.
  18. How the f*** does Vlad have 155 wRC+, 17 HRs, normal BABIP (.314) with a 4.8 LA since June 1st? (Presumably when he stopped pressing too much to do superhuman stuff as Teo returned) Is LA a myth?!
  19. Its entirely to bait the matchup. They moved Biggio to get a lefty/lefty matchup (Tapia would not have forced this simply because Tapia is a free swinger unlike Biggio and Loaisiga has shown no control) and then countered with Springer. If they just straight up put Springer, I presume Loaisiga would've stayed in. He might not have had control to that point but he pitches fastballs in (that's his deal). And as everyone in the league knows by now, Springer's weakness is fastball in or at least that's what they give him continuously to get him to groundout into DPs. It was a pretty cool move and it worked in our favor.
  20. Seattle losing, Rays won, Twins losing, Os/Sox match later. TL;DR, if things stand - we'll be 8 GB of Yankees (from 16 GB a month or so ago) and all three current WC teams tied in WC standings.
  21. If Tapia porches one here...
  22. One inning to go, but w.e, taking 3/4 is good.
  23. Kirk called the same pitch twice in a row when the first pitch was clobbered.
