    Okay, so here's I suppose a better question: is the current Vladdy the Vladdy we should expect the rest of the season and majority of his career? He might be raking but this has been a shadow of what he was last year, especially in clutch situations. You guys might think otherwise but Vlad is the LAST person (outside of Tapia/Zimmer) you'd want with RISP at the plate in this lineup. More importantly, if this is the year we are going for WS contention, then this Vlad is not the cornerstone superstar that'll get us there. And, its June.

    For Gurriel, there was a discussion earlier on the broadcast that Martinez told him to move away from the plate a bit more - this improved his pitch recognition but the trade-off was power as his swing became way too long to connect to many pitches middle to away of the plate. Better pitch recognition (less Ks) + slap-hitting (more-so recently than early on in the season when he was still trying to hit for power and failing) has become his new thing.

    With Yankees starting a 3-game series against the Twins, I hope we can actually make some ground on them. Running out of teams the Yankees could possibly face that'll slow them down. jk Another sweep for the Yankees.

    I just think, in this day and age, a pull hitter is incredibly easy to pitch around - just look at Gallo. While Jano is great, I think if something good comes along with him involved, you pull the trigger. Kirk's contact skills are insane (he has been the best hitter in MLB in the last 2 weeks; something obnoxious like 1.500 OPS) and sure his body might give in later on (to his credit, he has been losing weight), but he is talented and improved a lot defensively. All that said, unless Moreno comes to the majors and actually shows off he is capable of being all that he is in AAA, there is no way you trade either of your MLB catchers - especially because of how this team load manages. Look at Adley, he still has a lot to learn up here. You bring him up down the road or something when playoffs are locked for some games or early on next year. Otherwise, every 2/3 games, there's gonna be a hole in the C position of hitting + the possibility of Tapia DHing.
