    They made him an extension offer that he found offensive. They could have given him a reasonable offer and he would have taken it, then the team wouldn't have traded him and got the nice return for him. I hope you understand what I am saying now., it does make a difference.

    I'm also fearing this. He didn't do anything last winter meetings and he seems to be doing nothing again. Hope he gives his head a shake and starts ninjaing while some decent rp are still available. Not having any offers out there might be an indication that he's now on a short leash budget wise.

    Why would the O's want Duquette to stay if he doesn't want to? Would they trust his dealings/negotiations afterwards? I know I wouldn't.

    Both Duquette and AA were with the Expos years ago so no doubt they already have a relationship. Maybe AA is recommending Duquette.

    Well I doubt that's even a possibility, they benched him for a reason. Jays will explore their present players before ever considering him. He's done forever as a Blue Jay so let it go.
