My point was exactly that, Bautista and Odor was actually a consensual fight, therefore NOT an assault.

It certainly was, Odor just happened to get the first punch in.

When a hockey player use his stick to hit another player in the face and causes 17 stitches then criminal charges are laid and a conviction is registered. Fact!

There is no criminal charge in a consensual fight. Unless serious bodily harm is involved which wasn't the case.

a sucker punch is when someone did not expect it, Bautista knew he was in for a fight. And a punch in a fight is fair game either side. It's a consensual fight, no criminal charges involved.
