    We will never know why he turned 180 degrees and went for the quick shot . Still no contracts are that bad now with the new money out there . Think how LAA , Detroit , Seattle and others are with their 10 year deals

    McGowan or Morrow? Morrow uses a pump but not while pitching. not sure if that has changed. You would think with both having the issue a doctor would be able to give them some suggestion of what to do.

    Our BP has been overworked and actually only Buehrle hasn't contributed to that. In the situation the Jays are in and with an 8 man pen i still see JF&S,s idea we use an almost tandem type starter system for McGowan and Morrow as the only option unless we go with Stroman. Have McGowan go 4 then Happ 4, Morrow 5 the Redmond 4. The Astros are using this with some success and while it uses up 2 BP arms it should also give us innings for those two spots.

    I add Rogers to that list. Once the Hockey strike hit they went apeshit over content and called the shots. i get s*** all over this board for supporting AA but i saw what he could do before doing the 180. After years of having one of the worst farm systems in baseball AA turned that around and even with the gut of talent still has a decent system. Fire him now and what do we get? Another 5 years of a JP Ricarrdi type? Better the devil you know.

    Well he had no money. Sure it is obvious but who is to blame ? Rogers who tightened the purse stings or AA who blew the wad last year. I spread it around . I'm sure AA would have loved to add Drew and he thought he had a deal done with Santana (Not a 1/2 guy ) that would have given us innings. It was a no win situation so how does he fix it now? I think JF&S,s suggestion of sort of tandem starters (Long men ) that Houston is using is the answer for McGowan/Happ. Each go 4 innings and try and get less exposure from our BP. Our BP failure is in some part due to over exposure IMO.

    McGowan fits in the Bull pen . He puts another great arm there but as a starter he just can't give us enough innings . Happ will not give us the innings either but he isn't great in the Bull pen ! I suspect they give dusty another start Yes the Botched double play ball would have shortened that inning . Redmond was shell shocked when Cruz hit that eyeball high pitch . I would have let happ pitch the rest of the game and see what he could do . We need to find out
