    Right now we have to put the best defense out there and try to help the pitchers out . Obviously Francisco,s bat will be missed but I don't see Lawrie moving to 2nd without a fight.

    Right now probably the worst case senario has us 5 to 7 games out end of June and our lame duck GM goes for it gutting what is left of the farm.

    If we are out of contention then as many of us have posted it will be time to trade them all depending on value received. Won't happen unless AA gets fired but it is the obvious move.

    He is looking more and more as a BP arm even when healthy . I think both he and McGowan because of their diabetes are better suited to the Bullpen. Sure he has huge upside but how long can a GM continue to plan a winning roster not knowing whether a key rotation guy will give you 5 starts or 20 . Odds are he isn't going 33 . I also look at dollars . What will the budget be next year with a projected 85 cent dollar and less gate money. Add to that Rogers obvious fixation on other sports and this budget may be in the 95 to 100 mil range .

    Well since he probably needs season ending surgery then i would say NO . I would try to resign him at a cheaper rate but I suspect he now ends up a relief pitcher. Sad but his disease just doesn't allow him to pitch to his potential
