    I think a lot of this is Austin Martin motivated. It was being planned but once he fell into their laps they accelerated it. I think they might want Martin at 3rd next year so he's a part of the young core and they're giving Vladdy these 60 games now to get used to 1B.

    They just draft the best athletes which are usually infielders in high school and college. Athletic infielders in most cases can be converted into outfielders pretty easily. Some of the infield depth we have will wind up there. Gurriel and probably Biggio for example.

    Marcus has a problem with anyone he perceives as having slighted him. He has a persecution complex. How do you know he's not an issue in the clubhouse? We already know he didn't get along with Sanchez. I'm sure there were a few players who felt they had to walk on eggshells around him. I've heard more players talking about how much Sogard will be missed than I have about Stroman.

    They should factor the distance into it. 1 point for 400ft or less, 2 points for 401-450 and 3 points for anything over 450
