    Well the explanation AA gave is they liked Kratz but with Dickeys first 2 games in a dome, where the ball moves "a lot more" , they were scared to death of a repeat of last years JPA opening day passed ball jamboree. Good start and all that. Assuming the plan was to bring Kratz up shortly after that. Makes some kind of sense I guess.
