Fox Sports: "The Yanks have been connected to Headley often over the last couple years, and they're evidently still interested even though the third baseman is hitting just .204/.293/.327 this season. Headley recently admitted that he expects to have to deal with a herniated disc in his back for the rest of the year, but it's unclear if that will give the Bombers pause. The third baseman is making $10.525 million this season and will be a free agent this winter."
"According to reports, the Jays and other interested clubs will have representatives on hand to watch Headley this weekend. Set to hit free agency after the season, it may be best for the Padres to flip the third baseman at the deadline for the best possible package they can get, rather than letting him walk away for nothing."
