  1. Well....that just doesn't seem right. The kid brings a lot to the table on this board! #FreeKing!
  2. Michael Barret made a lot of friends with that right.
  3. Always liked this Bo Jackson outfield assist:
  4. That's what i'm thinking too. Wouldn't be terribly surprising if our broadcast team had that wrong...
  5. Pompey is the fantasy winner as well. SBs. Travis offers nothing but hopefully a solid BA for Fantasy purposes.
  6. Hitting is his calling card. The D is/was more of an unknown.
  7. I think most would be happy with 7 or 7.5/9 if he can keep the GB rates up.
  8. Dickey has fun?!?! edit: There sure is a wide range of expressions among Colby's new teammates. From full on WTF to, well full on WTF.
  9. Oh my, the Rangers luck.
  10. Interesting line up today.
  11. Ditto. Hutch to an extent as well. And i'm sure when Norris finally arrives for good, he'll be a can't miss as well.
  12. Looks like he throws a nasty 2-seamer. Nice breaking stuff too. Wow.
  13. That was dripping in sarcasm Jim...

Winnipeg wins this deal big time imo.
  15. He did. And how has that worked out? Make Dickey the underdog and start him second or 4th (with Burly going 2). Put a burr under his saddle as they say. I think Dickey is a great no. 3, and a bullpen band-aid, but you have to go with the hot commodity.
  16. Not so sure Dickey is the obvious opener. Stroman really has a strong case both statistically (obv.), and from a marketing standpoint. Young, charismatic, handsome, mini-stud. What's not to like? Or a sulky knucklballer.
  17. I don't mind coke zero. Of course, when i am having it, which is about a dozen cans per year, it's for the caffeine. If I need caffeine, flavor is not super-important. My problem is tasty beer. Goddam tasty beer.
  18. Good god. That is some projection. I obv. like it, but wow. Ahead of some pretty amazing arms that have proven track records. Steamer has him almost a full win better than our most common rub-up Hamels. I love all this, but myself, I am going to temper my expectations a tad.
  19. Lordie, that looks pretty lovely to this chap. I'd like to have Martin in a 5 or 6 spot for a bit less wear and tear, but I can't think of a better way to slot it myself. Looking forward to seeing what both of the Safeco refugees can bring. They should both be motivated. Nationalism, one year deals, and the chance to play in this lineup, at RC for half of your games...hopefully a perfect storm for those two.
  20. Where would most of you guys have Barreto if he wasn't a part of the Donaldson deal. While obviously young, was for myself the hardest part to lose in the Donaldson deal. I would have had him as our 2nd or 3rd best positional prospect behind Pompey and perhaps Max.
  21. You don't think they know that already?
