  1. JPA the Mendoza line is COMING FOR YOU http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ScZj0HJRRGI/TfOonTVXyLI/AAAAAAAAAK4/gPx75Z5axd4/s400/What_is_the_Mendoza_Line_570x300.jpg
  2. OK you got me there... control was a poor choice of words.
  3. This is funny because I was arguing with someone over Redmond being better than Happ because he has better control, and the person went on to say how his BB/9 is not a reflection of him having better control. Infact the argument was enough that I altered my view-point of the defintion of control. If a pitcher just throws balls down the middle of the plate he's going to have a low walk rate but that doesn't mean he has good control, actually he probably has bad control. Happ is a guy that has to work the sides of the plate because he has to, he does this effectively enough, I never said he had great control or even good control, I said he has pretty good control.
  4. Yeah he walks too many. Yeah he nibbles. He still has pretty good control. He has to do those things because his stuff sucks and his velocity is nothing special, or else he'll get pounded.
  5. Wow Happ looked really unathletic there, not sure if his knee is still an issue, I'd imagine not or he wouldn't be pitching
  6. I find he works the sides of the plates pretty well...that's about all I'll say about that.
  7. They look like a cross between hobos and gino clubbers
  8. He reminds me of a poor man's Mark Buehrle... but Pettite is a pretty good comp too
  9. If that was actually true he wouldn't even be in the majors.
  10. Happ scouting report: pretty good control, stuff sucks.
  11. The game started off with JPA not being able to make a good throw back to Happ and Happ not being able to catch it. Looks like we're in for a ball buster!

  14. Like I said, babies... !
  15. I guess we treat our players like little babies then...
  16. You realize this scenario doesn't even make sense.
  17. It was an example, calm down.
  18. You assume people are sleeping from 1 to 4 PM on a Saturday? How odd.
  19. Advanced edit.
