You're missing the point. I get that part, but the next part of what you said is insane and where you lost everyone (and evidently struggle with math also). First of all, 45 wins is like an .800 clip, which is totally unfeasible. Secondly, that would leave them at just shy of 100 wins, which would almost certainly win them the division. In fact, it would probably get them to pass the Royals and Cardinals and have the best record in baseball. The notion that the Jays need to win 5 a week (or 45 total) is mad. In fact, 35 probably gets them the division, as long as they were to go like 8-5 against the Yanks. At this point, 30 more wins probably gets them in as the second wild card.
