    This is all false, CD, he was a pending FA and said they'd attempt to reacquire him. They offered the guy over a 100M, stop listening to press conferences, they don't mean squat.

    Yeah, Pearson/Pop/Danner/Cooke/Zulueta/Fluharty/Brock/Juenger/Eisert/Burnette and then another handful of SP options available, plenty of depth. I doubt they get Chappy, but it would be sweet if they can swing it. Looks to me as this is our team going into '24 though.

    I'm not sure, both guys have their warts and I wanted nothing to do with either of them on long term deals, if I were to choose I'd say Matty has a better year, not a fan of Belly's smoke and mirrors last season, if the Birds could squeeze in Chappy on a short term deal I wouldn't be upset, lol. So I'm with you there.

    Agreed there. Boras has to dial it back. And get premium AAV for his client now. The money can be interchangeable in yearly AAV of course, to fit the signing teams payroll.
